Black Hills Trauma Therapy provides individual psychotherapy for adults, with a particular focus on trauma, EMDR, attachment and relationship wounds, anxiety, depression, chronic pain-related distress, and difficult life transitions.
Therapy is tailored to your individual needs and may include traditional talk therapy, trauma-focused approaches, EMDR, parts-oriented work, or a combination of approaches.
Individualized therapy for healing, growth, and change.
Individual Therapy
Individual therapy provides a space to understand what is happening now while also exploring experiences and patterns that may be contributing to it.
Sessions may focus on managing current stressors, understanding emotional or relationship patterns, developing coping and regulation skills, processing difficult experiences, or working toward meaningful changes in your life.
Individual therapy is available to adults through telehealth throughout South Dakota, with limited in-person appointments available in Hot Springs.
EMDR Therapy
EMDR integrated into ongoing individual psychotherapy. Treatment may include assessment, preparation and resourcing, target planning, reprocessing, and integration over time.
Standard EMDR Therapy
A more focused approach for working with specific memories, triggers, negative beliefs, or experiences. Preparation and readiness are assessed before reprocessing begins.
Focused EMDR Therapy
90-Minute EMDR Intensives
Extended sessions provide additional time for preparation and reprocessing without being limited to a traditional therapy hour.
